Megastrength Cement Board Adhesive 310ml

Mega strength is STS’s PU adhesive which we recommend to use alongside our STS Construction Boards. We know Mega Strength has some serious sticking power, so we thought we’d introduce you to one of our favourite products of all time.

What is a PU adhesive?

We are glad you asked! PU stands for polyurethane adhesive, which we have no doubt many of you knew, but for those who are first time users, polyurethane adhesive is basically a polymer-based glue often used in the construction industry because of its really strong bond ability with multiple material types.

What makes Mega Strength so good?

Besides the incredible bond strength of STS Mega strength?

1. It Foams: Mega Strength also foams slightly upon application which means the small gaps between materials like our construction boards and filled. Don’t panic, when we say foam slightly, we mean slightly – due to its water free formulation Mega Strength does not foam excessively, but just enough to help plug those small gaps.

2. It is 100& Waterproof: This is the main reason we recommend Mega Strength for use in wet rooms and bathrooms as it’s a brilliant choice for a jointing solution, especially in conjunction with STS Construction Boards.

3. It can Be Used on Damp Surfaces: That’s right, you don’t have to wait for anything to dry before using mega strength – it has great weathering characteristics.

4. It Is Versatile: Mega Strength can be used on a multitude of materials including, most metals, wood, engineered timber, glass, plastic, concrete and fibre cement
